*the soft thud of her boots on the wood of the deck accompanied Yanika as she walked through the hallway, slowly approaching the door at the end. Her hands rested on the pistols at her sides as she walked on with a slight sway to her hips. Sailors got out of her way and nodded in respect to her as she passed, and she returned the greeting with the same respect. They were no ordinary sailors… no…these men would lay down their lives, to the last of them, to protect the precious cargo waiting on the other side of that door. With a soft sigh she stopped in front of the door, and like every time before she gathered her will, strengthing herself for what was to come…and then she silently opened the door and stepped inside.

And like every time before her will wavered, smashed to bits and scattered in the wind as if it wasn’t there. She had entered this room countless of times during the trip and every time she had done she had been baffled by the sight. Left speechless and awed by the sight of the young girl sitting on her bed crosslegged, eyes closed, meditating. She looked young, smallish…resembling her. But Yanika knew that while she was beautiful herself, that was nothing compared to the otherwordly beauty of her sister….she had never seen anyting that could match it, she could find no words to describe it…her sister’s beauty was nothing less then divine. But even that was nothing compared to the crushing power of her aura. Nothing could ever prepare her for the sheer power of the girl’s presence. It seemed to fill the room, seep out through the cracks. She always half expected the walls to be smashed to kindling by it.

She didn’t know how long she had stood there gawking when the girl raised her head in her direction and smiled.

“is something wrong Yanika?”

There was nothing mocking about the voice. It was soft and gentle, warm and sincere.

“the lookout spotted land at the horizon…the captain expects us to be at our destination in less then a day”

The girl nodded and smiled. They had finally arrived.*
